What to Expect
The Craterian Theater at The Collier Center is a state-of-the-art performance venue and gathering place for the community of Southern Oregon. The facility features excellent acoustics and sightlines, an impressive array of theatrical equipment, and is operated by a professional staff. The auditorium is intimate and comfortable and can seat up to 750 patrons, and the stage can accommodate large music, dance and theatrical tours, as well as local productions.
There is no specific dress code for The Collier Center. Some events, such as the Symphony, Opera and our “Broadway” shows, will draw a dressier crowd. Most people enjoy dressing up to go to the theater, but you will see people wearing everything from casual attire to their “Sunday best.”
Cameras and recording equipment are NOT permitted in the Auditorium and must be checked with the Patron Services Manager. Please remember to turn off all cell phones before entering the auditorium.
For most shows, the concession counter in the lobby sells snacks, sodas, beer and wine. Please note that food and beverages are not allowed in the auditorium unless in a Collier Center branded cup (available for purchase at the concession counter).
As a courtesy to other audience members, please use discretion in bringing a young child to a performance. All children, regardless of age, are required to have tickets, and any child attending a performance should be able to sit quietly for the duration of the performance.
