Concert Description:
We turn our attention to Martin’s homeland for this orchestral showcase concert. Join us on a cruise of the Moldau River as it runs through Prague in Smetana’s tone poems about his Bohemian roots, then marvel at Dvořák’s brilliant reflection on his time in America in a symphony, “From the New World,” popularly known as the, “New World Symphony.”

Some help with names: Smetana is pronounced SME-TAH-NAH, the three movements are pronounced VE-SHEH-HERAD, VUL-TAH-VAH, and SHAAR-KAH, and Dvořák is pronounced D-VOR-ZHAHK.
